Welcome to Kea Kids

Where Learning Meets Play!

At Kea Kids Games, we believe that learning is natural – and so is play.

Children, just like adults, learn best when they are engaged in something they love. We create educational games for kids that combine fun animations with words to help children understand communication through play.

Our games make learning both effective and enjoyable!

What People Say

Adorable and Educational

The art and animation for all the different animals and vehicles makes for an engaging and entertaining interactive learning experience. Kids can practice building short phrases without getting overwhelmed, and I particularly liked that there are so many little critters to discover and unlock. This is a great app for any kid that benefits from a visual aid when it comes to speech therapy, but especially considerate of those who may be on the spectrum or have other learning disabilities.

An SLPs Dream App

I am a Speech and Language Pathologist who works with a lot of kiddos who are just learning basic communication skills. This app is amazing! It has been so engaging for my students! I’ve used it primarily with my kiddos on the spectrum and my AAC users. I’ve been able to target basic concepts and core words (e.g., go, stop, on, under, up, down) as well as helping to increase MLU (e.g., go up the hill, green flower, boat go under the bridge). I would HIGHLY recommend this app and hope they develop more apps like it!!

Great for Speech Therapy

This app has been a real blessing for us with our child in relation to learning and speech practice. Our girl loves to spend her time on the app every day! Building phrases and understanding opposites has been so fun for her, especially when she struggles with it so much during her day, and it makes us so happy to see her feel better in communicating with us. Oh and she loves the colorful animations so much! I’m grateful for how the app caters to different kids – whether they’re just starting to talk, read, or facing challenges like apraxia. In our home, it’s become a tool we use everyday before bedtime, a fun way to spend more time together as well as learn and work on her language development. It’s made a positive impact on our daughter’s speech practice and confidence in trying to communicate the best way she can, which is why we’re so grateful for it.

Improve Communication with Kids Preschool Games

A big challenge for kids learning to use an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device is understanding that pressing a button communicates something meaningful. To help in dealing with this challenge, we created these fun toddler games for speech therapy!

By pairing animations with words, kids see the immediate impact of their actions – and this helps them grasp the concept of communication in a playful way. Immediate feedback when combining words into phrases makes learning this concept easier and more enjoyable.

Supporting Kids with Autism and Special Needs

At Kea Kids, we recognize children’s unique needs. Our games for autistic kids are specially designed to support their development and communication skills with learning through play. They provide children with autism the tools they need to express themselves in a way that is both engaging and fun.

Effective Gestalt Language Learning with Kea Kids Games

Gestalt language processing is an emerging concept in speech therapy that focuses on how kids learn language in chunks or phrases rather than individual words.

Our apps are designed to target and support this natural way of learning, making it easier for autistic kids to grasp and use new phrases in context.

Building Language with Phrases and Expanding Vocabulary

Children often learn better with phrases rather than individual words. For example, they might use a phrase like “car go” and use it for anything they want to move or go – not just a car, like in our Cars & Bugs game.

This holistic approach makes it easier to teach new words and phrases by incorporating them into familiar phrase structures.

By changing one word in the phrase, like “car go”, “van go”, or “bike go”, kids can slowly expand their vocabulary and understanding. This method is effective in making language learning more intuitive and relatable for children with autism, motor planning difficulties, apraxia, or other special needs.

All our iPad games for kids are backed by extensive speech therapy research and personal experience.

This makes learning fun – and it helps keep kids engaged, which is one of the most challenging aspects of teaching!
